Garlic, Farmers Market, Truck, and Farm Pictures

I have been really busy lately, once I finished working on my truck, I started planting, once I finished planting I started digging garlic.  I finished digging garlic last week, boy am I glad that is done, I had garlic everywhere!  Here are some pictures from the last couple weeks.

Here is a picture of my truck now that i am finished working on it. I still have to put the strip back on the cab corner/extended cab area.  Such a simple thing and apparently it is going to take me forever to do.  It was a lot of work, but soooo worth it.

It Is Almost Time For Our Farmers Markets To Begin!

Well, we just had our last spring show this past Saturday, at Wadsworth Craft & Herb Festival.  We had lots of fun and it was a very good show.  A big thanks to everyone who stopped by.  Now it is going to be farmers market time!  I can not wait to see everyone from our farmers markets.

 We will still be selling at Valley City Farmers Market till at least the first week of October, and some other vendors should be joining us also.  Hope to see everyone there!  Also we are still up at Brunswick Farmers Market till the Pumpkin Festival, which is on October 10th and 11th.

Micro Greens

I also wanted to let everyone know that I just started a bunch of micro greens the other day.  They most likely will not be ready for this weeks markets, but the following week I should begin bringing micro greens to the markets once again.

Pasta

As far as pasta goes, if you have been to one of our markets, you may have noticed I do not have pasta for sale yet.  No fear I will be starting to make some very soon.  Just been so busy lately I have not been able to start making it, but I am hoping to be able to whip up some pasta this coming week for next weeks markets.

 

 

Fresh Cut Herbs at Market

 I have finally made something to display my herb bunches in at the market.  For years now I have been trying to figure out a good way to display my cut herbs, and have tried may different ways, but nothing seems to work very well.  So for the past 4 or 5 years I have been thinking of building something to display them in and have finally done so.  I can not wait till I get it completely done (still have to do finishing touches and stain it), and am so excited to get to see how it looks and works at the markets.  I am going to see how it works this season and may end up building another one next winter.

2013 Farmers Markets

Just thought I would do a post about our three farmers markets that we are attending this year.  This year we are selling at Valley City Farmers Market on Saturday, Brunswick Farmers Market on Sunday, and Akron General Farmers Market on Tuesday.


Valley City Farmers Market
This is the 6th year that we have sold at Valley City Farmers Market.
It is on Saturday from 9am till noon and is located at Liverpool Township Depot

Brunswick Farmers Market
This is the first year for Brunswick Farmers Market, so it is still growing and every week there has been new vendors attend the market.
It is on Sunday from noon till 4pm and is located at the Brunswick Heritage Farm

 Vendors at this market set up both outside of the barn and inside the barn.  Our first week at Brunswick Farmers Market we set up inside the barn but now we have been setting up outside.

Akron General Farmers Market
This is our first year at this market and I believe the 3rd year for the actual market.
It is on Tuesday from 3pm till 6 pm and is located at Akron General Medical Center
